Over a year ago my cat Charlie's kidney disease had progressed to the point where I had to consider giving him subcutaneous fluids. The thought of poking a needle into my beloved pet every day or so was daunting. At first I tried it on my own, but ran into a lot of problems that led to frustration for both Charlie and myself. I was at my wits end! My vet suggested that I call Michelle for some at home instruction and tips. I had used Michelle's Pet Sitting service several times in the past; so I was familiar with the great level of service she provides. So I gave her a call. Michelle came over to my home 4 times and together we worked out a routine that worked well for everyone. My confidence in performing the procedure increased, and although Charlie still hates it, the whole procedure became easier.

Not only does she take lovingly care of our cat, but on one occasion in the winter saved us from frozen pipes, when the batteries died in our programmable thermostat and she took care of the emergency in a prompt and efficient manner. Oscar is our beloved 7 ½ year old miniature dachshund. Oscar has had some health problems during his life - disc problems with his back and inflammatory bowel disease - both of which are now under control.  We feel really good about having Michelle look after him because she observes changes in his health and reports them to us. She gives him his medication as needed.  Plus, she's really gentle with him when he wants some extra love and attention.

I wanted to write to express our great pleasure over your care of our cat.  Before this year, when we traveled we always were able to have family members come in to feed Zoey, clean the cat litter and spend some quality time with him.  However, he recently was diagnosed with diabetes and therefore requires twice daily insulin shots - something we did not feel was right to ask a casual sitter to do.  We originally had him booked to stay over at a vet & cat care facility for 7 days, but Zoey is such a "people-cat" that we were deeply concerned that he would be lonely as well as stressed from new, strange and minimalist surroundings.  When we learned of your service offered in our home, and that long-time friends of ours have been calling upon you for years, it seemed the perfect answer!

Frankly, what you offer may be pet care but what you really provide is peace of mind, along with top quality care and love for our pet.  Zoey has never been in such great shape when we have returned from previous trips.  Yes, you do all the necessities well, but it is the obvious love and care you show for your "charges" that makes the great difference.   We will call on you again, and again and again.

We planned a three week vacation and were stuck with what to do with our 2 cats. When we met Michelle we felt immediately at ease. She was very friendly, the cats took to her immediately, and she seemed very competent.

Our trip was so much more enjoyable without the stress of leaving our cats in the care of someone we didn't fully trust. Michelle sent us an email and some pics periodically throughout the trip to give us updates. I was never worried or concerned, and was confident that they were getting great care. Michelle also made sure our house was kept while we were away (took out garbage, cycled lights, etc.)
