Michelle has been taking care of our many pets, our home, and my office for over fifteen years when we are on vacation. She is exceedingly pleasant. Every one of our pets has fallen in love with her. And she is absolutely trustworthy. - Joe & Pam Samuels
When I planned a vacation for a month in Europe, I needed someone to care for my cat, Chuy, who was a stray that I had taken in several years ago and who subsequently became diabetic requiring insulin twice a day. It was difficult to find someone who was comfortable giving my cat insulin injections while I was away. However, I had heard about Michelle's Pet Sitting through my veterinarian and decided that they looked professional and reliable and asked them to care for Chuy.
Half way through my vacation, Chuy unfortunately became ill. He would not eat and was vomiting. Michelle took him to the vet immediately. As it turns out he was suffering from an acute attack of pancreatitis which is a serious and life threatening illness. I have no doubt that Michelle's training as a veterinary technician provided her with the required insight and knowledge to react. I am not sure that I, myself, would have been so intuitive.
Once diagnosed with pancreatitis,Chuy had to spend some time at the clinic and when he came home there were a myriad of medications that had to be administered. A feeding tube had to be inserted in his esophagus and he had to be fed through this tube three times a day. This was no obstacle for Michelle. She took control of the situation and carried out all that was necessary for Chuy's health and well being. She communicated with my veterinarian on a daily basis and my vet expressed to me how she was so relieved that she could work so well with Michelle.
When I returned from Europe I had to teach myself how to use the feeding tube and administer Chuy's medications. Michelle took the time to show me the several things that were required for Chuy's care.
Chuy is doing well now. I cannot express how satisfied I felt knowing that the person caring for Chuy, while I was far away and helpless, had the knowledge and the wherewithal to take charge and do whatever it took. Michelle turned out to be an excellent choice of caregiver for both Chuy and myself. - Terry Guerriero
"We have used Michelle Pitt's services for over 10 years and have found her to be consistently dependable, honest and trustworthy. Not only does she take lovingly care of our cat, but on one occasion in the winter saved us from frozen pipes, when the batteries died in our programmable thermostat and she took care of the emergency in a prompt and efficient manner. We highly recommend her and so does Asrelle!!" - Gerry & Joanne L.
Oscar is our beloved 7 ½ year old miniature dachshund. Michelle has been looking after him at lunch times for the last few years. Oscar looks forward to her visits and she spends quality time with him in thebackyard and cuddling on the sofa inside. They recently watched the presidential inauguration together during Michelle's lunch hour visit. Oscar really enjoyed that.
Oscar has had some health problems during his life - disc problems with his back and inflammatory bowel disease - both of which are now under control. We feel really good about having Michelle look after him because she observes changes in his health and reports them to us. She gives him his medication as needed. Plus, she's really gentle with him when he wants some extra love and attention.
We highly recommend Michelle! - Deb & Noele
As a Veterinarian and a pet owner, I understand the importance of having someone that you trust to take care of your animals when you cannot.
Over the past few years, I have had the opportunity to observe Michelle doing what she does best, caring for the animals.
It is not only her professional demeanor and medical abilities that impress me but her own personal touch with the attention and caring she provides for both the owner and pet.
Michelle has helped me take care of many sick cats that require special care and attention. She tackles these tasks with confidence and is not fazed by the challenge.
I would highly recommend Michelle to any pet owner who is looking for the best care for their furry, four-legged friend.
